Johannesburg, 5 April 2022 – Let the fun begin this school holiday at Eastgate! Known for its lively atmosphere and experiential offerings, Eastgate is looking forward to welcoming learners and their families at the centre this holiday, with plenty of options to keep everyone entertained.
South Africa’s biggest indoor go-kart track recently opened at the centre and will be open throughout the holiday. The centre’s IndyKart track offers 475 metres of pulse-racing track to zoom around, and no less than thirteen corners of various technical levels in fourteen brand-new Sodi RT8 Karts. The track is open to children from the age of nine years old or those with a minimum height of 1,4 metres.
If you are looking for the newest and best movies out now for your family, you’ll find them at the centre’s Ster-Kinekor cinema. For hungry tummies, the centre has an array of restaurants and fast food outlets, both inside and on the popular outdoor piazza. On a single trip to the centre, you can explore everything your heart desires, whether that be a delicious doughnut treat at Krispy Kream, a trendy coffee fix at Starbucks, a fun bubble tea at Yoyo, a wardrobe makeover at Cotton On, a fun splash out at Typo or some pampering at Sorbet.
For television lovers, Cartoon Network will be hosting an interactive activation in the Strelitzia Court for the launch of a great new show, titled We Baby Bears from 15 – 19 April. Little ones will enjoy fun activities and games in this space.
What’s more, Eastgate will be trading with extended hours on Fridays this holiday, to ensure that young ones have the full day to have as much fun as possible. Now, everyone can enjoy everything the centre has to offer from 9:00 AM till 9:00 PM every Friday.
“Whether it’s the delight of a movie on the big screen, the glee of a go kart or a fun filled family outing, we have it all at Eastgate” said Kelly Belman, General Manager for Eastgate Shopping Centre, commented. “Our extended Friday trading hours at our wide range of premium retailers and unique experiences will ensure that this school holiday will be one to remember,” she added.
